i’m a sony fan. but in this case i’d stay away from the sony S series. lower contrast and only 60hz more than likely. i’m sure the samsung 550 series for samsung are 120hz with higher contrast. the blue ray player is about 150-200 bucks for the newer samsungs.
in this case, samsung all the way.
edit: both are 60hz, but higher contrast is nicer. plus samsung has the uber neat swivel base. it’s the little things in life =)
Samsung is a better choice, higher contrast ratio and samsung with blue ray dvd player for $950 is a good deals.
They’re about the SAME in quality.
