When I was watching, the screen went green and then said no signal. I hooked up the component video cables and it works. Any suggestions?

When I was watching, the screen went green and then said no signal. I hooked up the component video cables and it works. Any suggestions?

I have a samsung 46″ LED 120HZ. I have a CAT 5 cable that connects to an HDMI converter that then connects to the TV. At times the TV will say something about Time not available and there will be no picture. After I unplug/plug back in the HDMI converter and turn the TV off and on it will start working again. Is there any fix to this problem. I used to have a 40″ Sony Bravia for 1 year, and no problems like this.

Will HD channels really help? And i will need the HDMI Cable Right?
Any other advice?

I will be purchasing a PS3 in the next month for the use of the Blu-Ray will the picture still look good as long as I hook an HDMI cable from the PS3 to the TV?
